About Me

Living in Québec, Canada, I am an avid fly angler, photographer and writer, pursuing fish coast to coast across Canada … and just about anywhere in the world.

Where did it all start? As a kid, my dream was to catch the mythic foot long brown trout from the local creek. I grew up chasing native brown trout and grayling in the crystal clear rivers of Eastern France - the best school you will ever find to perfect the art of sight-fishing for difficult trout.

My dream became a never-ending quest, taking me across the world and back. And just as if my trout addiction was not enough, I now find myself spending countless hours chasing bass, pike, musky, bonefish, tarpon... or just about any creature with fins that takes a fly.

More than a decade ago, I moved to Canada in search of wilderness fly fishing opportunities. I know I have barely scratched the surface of what this country has to offer, but the exploration continues…

For me, the act of sharing the passion and experience with others through photography and writing has expanded my appreciation and understanding for the sport in a way that participation alone could not.

I began writing about fly fishing in France’s oldest fly fishing magazine, Plaisirs de la Pêche, no longer in existence, sadly enough, and continued to write for various publications both locally and abroad. For the last few years, I have had the pleasure of being the Quebec field editor and active contributor for The Canadian Flyfisher (www.canflyfish.com), the only national fly fishing magazine in Canada. Beyond print and web media, I have also had the opportunity to participate in fly fishing movies and share my experiences as a speaker in fly fishing shows.

Whatever the medium, my goal is simply to capture and share those special moments spent on the water – the exploration for the perfect spot; the timeless battle of wills and skill; the exceptional fish (and the smaller ones, too); and the spectacular settings in which our passion takes place. It is this intimate connection with the underwater world we anglers treasure so much, which I seek to explore and share.

I truly hope you will enjoy my work.
